If you've got an interest in trains, you won't want to miss out on the family-friendly Sam Bass Day, held Saturday, Feb. 25.  Presented by the Allen Heritage Center, Sam Bass Day will give guests an opportunity to learn about the history of Allen's railways.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., members of the local community are encouraged to attend the event, which will include music by Nunez, Nelson & McClung, a presentation and book signing by Rick Miller, author of Sam Bass and Gang, a blacksmith demonstration, and a re-enactment of Sam Bass and Gang train robbery by the Allen High School Drama Department.

Sam Bass Day is free and open to the public.
