  with an assortment of Celtic and Renaissance traditional tunes performed
  by the Collin College Guitar Ensemble. The program\, that will also inclu

 y\, Dec. 8\, at the Allen Public Library. \nAcclaimed for its “touching mu
 sicality\, elegant presentation\, and seamless coordination” by Fort-Worth
  Star-Telegram\, Kithara Duo’s Olga Amelkina-Vera and Fernand Vera are cel
 ebrating 20 years of performing together.  The two have played in Europe\,
  South America\, and throughout the US. \nSince 2012\, Fernand has directe
 d the thriving Guitar Studies program at Collin College in Plano\, TX.  He
  has also written several guitar method books\, including The Beginning Gu
 itar Method\, Vol. 1. now in its sixth edition (co-written with Olga Amelk
 ina-Vera). \nOlga won first prize in the 2013 Japan Guitar Ensemble Compos
 ition Competition for her quartet Cattywampus Rompus (Texas Tarantella) an
 d was interviewed by Gendai Guitar during her trip to Tokyo. \nThe Collin
  College Guitar Ensemble is part of the Department of Music at Collin Coll
