 nce 1968. For over 50 years he has been fascinated with Denton County hist
 ory and served as Chairman of the City of Denton Historic Landmark Commiss
 ion\, President of the Historical Society of Denton County\, and a member
  of the Denton County Historical Commission.  \nCochran was the creator an
 d editor of the Denton Review \, a journal of local history and is the edi
 tor and webmaster of DentonHistory.net \, a website dedicated to the histo
 ry of Denton County. He is the author of “ O’Neil Ford\; Architect\, a cat
 alog of the work of O’Neil Ford in Denton\, Texas\,” as well as articles o
 n various aspects of local history. \nHe has lectured on the Life and Time
 s of John B. Denton\, O’Neil Ford\, the old Interurban\, Quakertown\, a di
 splaced African-American community\, the Architecture of Denton\, Texas an
 d the general history of Denton\, County. \nMr. Cochran and his wife\, Lin
 da Lavender\, reside in a one-hundred-year-old house\, in the Oak-Hickory
