  29.  This confidential but crucial chapter of World War Two occurred in T
 errell\, Texas.  Thousands of British pilots learned to fly at six civilia
 n training schools throughout the United States and the first of these was
  in Terrell. In the beginning\, its mission was so secretive that even loc
 al citizens were unaware of its purpose. \nThe training of the pilots was
  vital to the war effort\, and the museum preserves a collection of releva
 nt artifacts including logbooks\, training materials\, uniforms\, aircraft
  models\, equipment\, vintage photos\, and memorabilia. \nA former history
  instructor at South Arkansas Community College\, Hotard coordinates educa
 tional programs and docent tours at the Terrell museum.   \nCan’t be there
