St. Mary. FREE! A singer-songwriter deeply affected by life in rural Arkansas, Michael Prysock shares real stories of the influences of his family then and now. Michael skips the clichéd heart songs of romance and moves purposefully to lyrics that convey the authenticity of living. Uniquely talented and masking a rare personal humility not often seen in today’s contemporary musical bravado, Michael offers spirited vocals, guitar and harmonica to a raw soundtrack of small-town life. Michael sings about death as if it was a character in his songs and not an event that happens.
Darren Dement proudly hails from south Louisiana but has called Texas home for the past 25 plus years. He grew up steeped in Southern gospel music but claims a wide range of musical influences. Roots music Darren plays guitar and mandolin and often uses his musical talents in worship events. He performed on and coordinated production of the Wilshire Roots album, which was released in 2020.
