Photographer Raúl Rivero frequently indulges his fans by sharing stunning images of Allen’s landscape and architecture on social media.  At 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 28, the Allen Public Library audience will be treated with even more mesmerizing examples of his Collin County images and a conversation with him on his art. This in person free event will also be shared virtually at allentx.swagit.com

Born in San Antonio, Raúl Rivero was adopted by a Mexican couple who later relocated the family to Mexico City where his father served as a publicist and broadcaster; his mother was a retired actress. From a young age Raúl was enthralled with the visual arts. In 1988, he was employed with a Mexican Film Institute as CGI artist and created animation for TV shows. Since then, Raúl has created visual content for television and social media sites. As freelancer, he specializes in digital visual content for magazines, retails stores and plays.

Six years ago, Raúl relocated to Texas and settled in Allen where he works as a freelance commercial and portrait photographer.  “I love to learn about the history and stories of the places I visit and live,” Raúl declares. “As soon I moved to Allen in 2016, I started to learn about the city and captured images of Allen’s iconic sites. Sharing photographs that reflect my personal style are an honor.”
