Enjoy the upbeat rhythms of the Uptown Drifters at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 22, at the Allen Public Library. This free concert will be offered live as well as virtually at allentx.swagit.com 

Presenting multiple genres and eras of Americana music, Uptown Drifters offers something for all music lovers.  Using a strong anchoring rhythm, the group provides audiences some of the area’s most talented soloists. Listeners are sure to be treated to a foot stomping evening.  

This band consists of:

Jim Turner - acoustic guitar and lead vocal

Randy Eaton - drums

Nathan Phelps - bass and vocals

Dustin Ballard - fiddle

Steve Curry - lead guitar and vocals

Chris McGuire - saxophone and trumpet

Mark Gheen - piano

David Wright - steel guitar

The group, along with their most recent CD “Recollections In Swing”, were both nominated by the Association of Western Artists for 2016’s Western Swing Group of the Year and Album of the Year.
