Originating from the Sellers Recording Studio in downtown Dallas, the voices of George Jones, Mickey Mantle, Jesse Owens, Ron Chapman and many others are detectable. George Gimarc describes himself as an audio archaeologist. Learning that a building that formerly was the Sellers Recording Studio was soon to be demolished, George rushed to the location and rescued tapes that were destined for the dumpster. Samples of these tapes will be broadcast during this program.
In 1980, George launched t The Rock & Roll Alternative on KZEW and later at KDGE (The Edge).
On KRLD-AM, George hosted The Lost Tapes, a program that featured obscure recordings and equally obscure musical trivia.
