Looking for great music and a free, fun night out? Then the Smoking Woodys and the Allen Public Library offer what you want.  The library will host a free evening with this talented group at 7:30 p.m. Friday, August 7.

The Smoking Woodys are a premier classic rock band based in North Texas. Performing music from the late 60’s to the 90’s and beyond, they offer those favorite nuggets that make the audience say “I love that song!” Their setlist taps into artists and bands like The Zombies, The Clash, The Cars, Santana, Tom Petty, The Eagles, Dwight Yoakam, Collective Soul, BlackBerry Smoke, and of course The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. 

With decades of performance experience, the band is composed of Joe Pirro (guitars/vocals), Lee Arden (bass/vocals), Truett Hunt (guitars/vocals) and Tim Elinski (drums/vocals).

You may have seen The Smoking Woodys perform at places like Plano Sports Tavern, Fish & Tails, Strokers, The Step Up Lounge, Lonestar Roadhouse, Underdog, Sensations, Dirty Water Saloon, The Island Club, Chaser’s Lounge, Ellis County’s Food Truck Fridays, or St. Jude’s North Texas Bike Rally.
