Who can resist a funnel cake and a giant Ferris wheel?  St. Jude Catholic Church will host its annual Carnival September 9-11, and this year’s carnival promises hours of fun for all ages!

The 3-day carnival kicks off on Friday night (5pm-11pm) with an exciting midway including kiddie and thrill rides, and classic carnival food by Talley Amusements, Inc.  Back by popular demand is the “Friday night only Unlimited Rides” $30 wrist band.  Visit our website at www.stjudeparish.com for pre-sales information.  Food purchases in the Talley Midway are “cash only”.   For the convenience of carnival goers, Talley Amusements, Inc. will provide ATM machines on the premises.

On Saturday, in conjunction with Talley Amusement’s Midway and rides, St. Jude will host its traditional courtyard festivities from 12pm-7:30pm. (Please note tickets for the Courtyard activities are sold separately from the Talley tickets) Parish fun abounds for all ages with a large variety of Jumper Bee inflatables, a rock wall, raffle prizes, a silent auction, musical acts, face painting and a cake walk.  Visit the various Carnival sponsor tents, as well as vehicles from the Allen Fire Department, the Allen Police Department Command Center, and enjoy food and drinks provided by St. Jude’s very own Knights of Columbus.  New this year, join us from 8pm-10pm for the gospel-based bluesy sound of the Maylee Thomas Band.  Tally's midway will run from 12 Noon - 11:00pm.

The 3-day event closes Sunday with the Talley Amusement’s Midway running from 1pm-10pm. Carnival attendees are invited to take part in St. Jude’s 35th Anniversary celebration from 1-3pm in the Parish Hall, as well as an art show and live entertainment in the courtyard.
