Allen ISD has made the decision to temporarily close Eagle Stadium after extensive cracking was found in the concrete on the stadium’s elevated concourse. A full evaluation of the facility is underway to determine what repairs are necessary.

Until the evaluation is complete and repairs are made, the facility will remain closed for student classes, activities and public use.  Daily class activities were relocated away from the facility beginning today.

This temporary closure will affect high school graduation ceremonies scheduled for June 6. The district will communicate with parents and make decisions regarding the location of graduation ceremonies in time to make sure we do not overly inconvenience our families.  Home football games of the Allen Eagles next fall will likely be affected as well.

Interim Superintendent of Schools Beth Nicholas said, "While it is too early to provide additional details on how this will impact our students, I want our community to know that the Board of Trustees and our staff are already at work to resolve this problem as quickly as possible to resume all activities at Eagle Stadium."
