Beginning with its Wednesday morning meeting on September 14, the St. Jude Career Alliance Ministry in Allen, TX will again offer its newly-introduced five-week career strategies workshop titled The Lifelong Employability Experience (LLEE).  Designed to help participants develop four critical skills - Confidence, Communications, Control and Consistency - that will enable them to continuously move their careers forward, LLEE is a time tested process that lands people in jobs they want.  It is based on a basic marketing process that focuses on specific solutions each participant can bring to the company of their choice.  LLEE has been created by Jack Bick, a Certified Career Coach practicing in Collin County and former publisher of the Dallas Business Journal and Inside Collin County Business, now the Collin County Business Reporter.

"The key to the LLEE workshop series is to show the job seeker how to win the desired job by sharpening skills in Confidence, Communications, Control and Consistency," said LLEE creator Jack Bick. "This goal is accomplished by personalizing each step of the job search process."

LLEE is applicable for students who want to start their careers off right.  It is designed to help enhance a person's career path as well as get a career back on the path in case of unemployment. When used correctly and continuously, LLEE can help a person build a great career with few and short career gaps.

This career strategies workshop is free of charge and open to all people of any faith, ethnicity, age, etc.  A workbook will be included and for those who complete the five weeks, there will be a free 30-minute telephone coaching session.

The Lifelong Employability Experience workshop will be presented by the St. Jude Career Alliance Ministry from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM each Wednesday for five consecutive weeks (September 14, 21, 28; October 5, 12) in the Lecture Hall at St. Jude Parish in Allen, TX.  The specific topics to be addressed each week are:

September 14---First Experience: Know the Product

September 21---Second Experience: Develop the Marketing/Selling Materials

September 28---Third Experience: Marketing Strategy & Tactics

October 5---------Fourth Experience: Selling to the Market Place

October 12--------Review: How It All Works Together

"The 'Experience' also builds a foundation of Christ's involvement in our daily lives including our employment," concluded Mr. Bick. "After all, God created needs and that leads to the creation of jobs to fill needs.  God knows where our next job will be so we need to put our creator consciously in our search.  Our work life should be an exercise of our Christianity and reflect our values."

The St. Jude Career Alliance is a ministry helping college students, career builders and those who are unemployed/underemployed to develop individual career strategies that meets at 9:00 AM every Wednesday at St. Jude Parish in Allen, TX.

St. Jude Catholic Church is located at 1515 North Greenville Avenue, between Exchange Parkway and Stacy Road.  Attendees should park in the northeast lot and use the entrance between the church and the parish office.

In addition to the LLEE workshops, the ministry offers other career-oriented speakers and presentations at weekly Wednesday morning meetings as well as training in job search skills, support groups and job hunting resources.
