Allen’s Community Theatre opens it’s 2016-17 season Make ‘Em Laugh with Doublewide, TEXAS.  Performances are October 7-23, 2016, Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm.

In this hilarious, fast-paced comedy, the inhabitants of one of the smallest trailer parks in Texas—four doublewides and a shed—are thrown for a loop when they realize the nearby town of Tugaloo is determined to annex them.  The rollicking mayhem of this flat-out funny Jones Hope Wooten comedy escalates as the residents attempt to secede from Texas, discover a traitor in their midst, and turn the tables in a surprising and side-splitting finale.

If you have enjoyed Dixie Swim Club, Hallelujah Girls and Red Velvet Cake Wars, this show is for you!  "This show has audiences laughing so hard, you can probably hear them outside the theatre!" says Murry's Dinner Playhouse.  The Bay Review claims "You will howl with laughter at these characters. So leave your troubles at home. Because in Doublewide Texas, they've got enough for everybody!"
