Is This Your Pup at the Collin County Animal Shelter?

Has your pup gone missing?  According to the Dallas Morning News, the Collin County animal shelter in McKinney has a male Labrador retriever that doesn't fit the usual profile of an abandoned dog.

The shelter thinks that the dog, which was found on Lucas Road in Lucas on Dec. 7 belonged to a caring owner, due to the fact that the dog, temporarily named "Reno," recently had shoulder surgery and still had stitches and a paper collar when he was picked up.  Reno also had an identification microchip, however the chip was not registered with contact information.

The dog is said to be trained well and extremely sociable, and according to a news release from the shelter, "he exhibits no signs of a neglected or abused background."  If no owner is found, Reno will be put up for adoption.

If Reno belongs to you or you have any information about his owners, please call 972-547-7292 or emailanimalshelter@collincountytx.gov.
