North Texas parents, get ready. The Sci-Tech Discovery Center in Frisco has been closed for the last few weeks to install new exhibits, but it's almost ready to reopen! Beginning Saturday, Jan. 28 at 10 a.m., the Discovery Center will feature Amusement Park Science and Team Up! Explore Science & Sports exhibits through Sept. 2.
Amusement Park Science will allow visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the physics involved in creating amusement park rides and attractions.
For the sports fans, Team Up! Explore Science & Sports gives visitors an opportunity to test their skills on the playing field in an educational way, teaching geometry, physics, force and friction.
These new exhibits are sure to hold your child's interest, so don't wait to plan your visit to the Sci-Tech Discovery Center.
Hours for the Discovery Center are:
- Monday: Closed
- Tuesday – Friday: 10:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Sunday: noon - 6:00 p.m.
General admission is $6.50. Members of the Sci-Tech Discovery Center and those under the age of 2 get in free.
