The McKinney Police are warning North Texas residents of the "Felony Lane" gang that could be targeting moms in Collin, Dallas and Tarrant counties.

The Florida operation has recently been identified and is known for stealing purses at daycare center parking lots when moms are picking up or dropping off their children.  Purses are left for just moments before they are stolen by the group to cash checks and withdraw money using the victim's identity.

The McKinney Police encourage women to take precautionary measures to avoid becoming the victim of a Felony Lane group crime. Hide valuables left in the car, lock the vehicle and always take your keys, even during short periods of time.
