For children, reading can often be a challenging process, and the Allen Public Library is hoping to change that for participants in the Read to Rover program.

The library is hosting its Read to Rover program on Saturday, March 10 at 10:30 a.m.  Kids ages 5 and up can go to the library and read to a Heart of Texas therapy dog in order to gain confidence while reading aloud.

The Read to Rover program is free for those who wish to attend, and participants are asked to bring their favorite book or check one out from the library.  Attendance is limited, and free tickets will be given out beginning at 10 a.m.
