Press Release courtesy of Watters Creek

Allen, Texas (February 23, 2012) - In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, Watters Creek will “go green” on Saturday, March 17 as they dye the creek that runs through the center green.  Don’t miss out on seeing the only creek in Dallas-Fort Worth dyed green in celebration of the Emerald Isle’s most famous holiday.

The safe, non-toxic ingredients used to dye the creek green biodegrade naturally, gradually turning the water to its original color within a week with no harmful effect on wildlife.

In addition to the green creek, Irish festivities will include:

Saturday, March 17

  • Enjoy live music from 5 Second Rule on The Green from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and again from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Lucky Duck Kids Club from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Children ages three to 12 can enjoy several free educational Irish themed hands-on activities from Primrose Schools of East & West Allen.

*All festivities are free and open to the public.

Watters Creek at Montgomery Farm is located at 970 Garden Park Drive (U.S. 75 and Bethany Drive) in Allen, Texas.  For more information call 972-747-8000 or visit www.watterscreek.com.
