The St. Jude Career Alliance Ministry in Allen, TX has announced that - beginning with its weekly Wednesday morning meeting on July 13 - it will present a new four-session Expert Speaker Series that focuses on building successful job search foundations.  The DFW Metroplex-based speakers at these programs will address various aspects on how the new workforce will impact individual job search strategies.  A special two-hour program on Wednesday, July 13, will explore how LinkedIn Basics and LinkedIn Advanced can enable participants to develop a subject matter expert's reputation using LinkedIn.

JULY 13, 2016

Topic:      LinkedIn Basics and LinkedIn Advanced - How to Develop a Subject Matter Expert's Reputation on LinkedIn -- Special Two-Hour Session, 9-11 AM.

Speaker:  Clayton Stockdall, Strategic Business Partner with Stockdall Consulting.  Mr. Stockdall is an operational analysis executive who generates bottom line results by converting financial and operational data into quantifiable metrics, proposing action based on metrics analysis and executing action plans to successful implementation.  He is the director of the Fort Worth Career Search Network, a leadership team member and lecturer for Southlake Focus Group and a lecturer for the Fort Worth-based Career Solutions Workshops.  Mr. Stockdall holds an MBS degree in Finance & Management from Dallas Baptist University.  He graduated cum laude from Central Bible College (Springfield, MO) with a BA degree in Bible and Christian Education.

Speaker:  Steve Zipkoff, International Business Motivation & Leadership Expert.  Mr. Zipkoff is the President/CEO of Richardson-based Zipkoff Solutions, a unique, innovative management education company founded in 1992 that utilizes a "no-box" thinking approach.  Zipkoff Solution's mission is simple: To inspire clients to discover, cultivate and capitalize on new capabilities for delighting customers and maximizing returns.  During his more than 40 years in retail marketing, Mr. Zipkoff has included Sears, Roebuck, KFC, Burger King and Taco Bell (PepsiCo) among his clients.  Mr. Zipkoff is also an instructor at the SMU Cox Graduate School of Business where he earned the prestigious Teaching Excellence Award 31 times for his course on "Deliver Customer Delight."

Topic:      Starting the Job Search

Speaker:  Donna Moniot, Senior Vice President & Executive Coach for Lee Hecht Harrison, a Global Career Management Firm.   As an executive and career coach, Ms. Moniot has spent the last 16 years developing experienced and emerging leaders by delivering both individual and team-based coaching services.  Ms. Moniot believes that coaching is a process designed to assist individuals in developing key leadership behaviors to maximize their effectiveness as a leader.  The coaching she conducts is business-related and focused on improving behavior and/or performance under an umbrella of confidentiality and trust.  In addition, Ms. Moniot stresses that coaching is a goal-oriented form of individually tailored learning.  As an external coach, she provides objective and constant feedback to her clients.  Ms. Moniot works with individuals to identify and leverage strengths and challenges blind spots that might become career derailers.  Finally, Ms. Moniot believes that leaders excel when they are coached on soft skills combined with the need to be agile in a rapidly changing global environment.  Ms. Moniot, a certified Lee Hecht Harrison coach, is a graduate of the Hudson Institute of Coaching in Santa Barbara, CA and is a Global Certified Career Development Facilitator through the National Career Development Association.

Topic:      The New Workforce and Its Impact on Your Job Search Strategy.

Speaker:  H. William Gordon, Founder & Principal, Creative Corporate Change, LLC.  A cyber security and digital transformation expert, Mr. Gordon has assumed at various times in his career the responsibilities of President/CEO, Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Intelligence Officer, Chief Procurement Officer and Senior Vice President of Sales.  The collective experience of these positions has enabled Mr. Gordon to make comprehensive business decisions that are not only strategic, but are also integrated with the needs and requirements of the entire enterprise and that align technology investments with financially-driven business goals.  Mr. Gordon has earned a Master's Degree in International Political Economics from the University of North Texas.

The St. Jude Career Alliance is a ministry helping college students, career builders and those who are unemployed/underemployed to develop individual career strategies that meets at 9:00 AM every Wednesday at St. Jude Parish in Allen, TX.  These career strategy workshops are free of charge and open to all people of any faith, ethnicity, age, etc.  Everyone is welcome.

St. Jude Catholic Church is located at 1515 North Greenville Avenue, between Exchange Parkway and Stacy Road. Attendees should park in the northeast lot and use the entrance between the church and the parish offices.

In addition to speakers and presentations at weekly meetings, the ministry offers training job search skills, support groups and job hunting resources.
