Great American Cleanup

Saturday, April 17, 2021

Recycling/disposal event open to all City of Allen water utility customers

Know before you go!
To help improve traffic flow: bulk trash, metals, and loose brush will not be accepted. Instead, schedule a convenient curbside pickup with CWD by calling 972.392.9300 (option 2).

NEW FOR 2021: COVID-19 Protocol Changes

  • Great American Cleanup begins at 8 a.m. All vehicles must be in line by 12 p.m. to participate in the event. A City of Allen vehicle with a lighted sign will enter the back of the line at 12 p.m. to signify the event is closed.
  • The event will run until 12 p.m. or until the trucks are full.
  • All adults in your vehicle must put on a face-covering before dropping off items located in passenger areas or speaking to event staff/volunteers.
  • When you arrive at the event, please stay in your vehicle. Staff will unload your items for you. Pack similar items together to reduce the time staff spends sorting. The faster we unload, the less time everyone spends in line!
  • Separate medication disposals from your electronics and paper shredding. Keep them in the front seat for easy unloading. Place your medications in the drive-thru drop-off container. Do not let anyone handle your medications.
