Mint OREO Blizzard Treat is featured in March.

The new DQ Texas mobile app is a fast and innovative way to quench your cravings for “The Best Treats & Eats in Texas” – and earn rewards and hear about great deals – even on the go!

Available on both the iPhone at the Apple App Store and Google Play Apps for Android devices, the DQ Texas mobile app downloads in seconds, asks for basic identifying info (responding with “Hello friend, you have a nice name”) – and opens users to the wide world of delicious Dairy Queen® offerings in Texas and “DQ® Texas News,” too!

Speaking of news, here’s a flash – March 6, celebrate National OREO Day with a BOGO (buy one OREO Blizzard and receive another of equal or lesser value for only 99 cents) deal on the Mint OREO Blizzard Treat. This offer will be good at all participating DQ restaurants in Texas for one day only through the DQ Texas mobile app.

“Fan response to our app really has increased in the past year as people are looking for current product news and fun offers in Texas,” says Lou Romanus, CEO of the Texas Dairy Queen Operator’s Council. “They love the ease, convenience and mobility of the app, and we’re happy to be able to connect and provide lots of great rewards throughout the year. With 548 restaurants out of nearly 600 in Texas offering the DQ Texas mobile app, customers across Texas have the opportunity to earn plenty of Treats & Eats.”

The mobile app has lots of benefits. Users can earn rewards – spend $5 and collect a “Red Spoon” (five Red Spoons are worth $5) – and receive alerts about exclusive app deals redeemable at participating DQ restaurants in Texas. Users also can order online through the mobile app for greater convenience, where available.

New users receive a free mini Blizzard® Treat just for signing up. Those who connect with Facebook will receive one free “Red Spoon.”

Being friendly has its rewards, too. Invite friends to sign up using a unique invite code (in slide-out menu) and when they earn their first “Red Spoon”, you get a bonus “Red Spoon” too.

Redeeming rewards is super simple – when you arrive at your neighborhood DQ restaurant, just click “Redeem” and present the 7-digit code to the cashier. Just like that, you’ve got deliciousness in the palm of your hand!

Users also will learn about special offerings and monthly deals (great for planning around busy schedules) as well as news about DQ restaurants in Texas.
