If your job situation is uncertain or if you want to enhance your career opportunities, come join the St. Jude Career Alliance Ministry at its comprehensive, faith-based job search workshop on Saturday, October 16, 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 North Greenville Avenue in Allen.

The content for this job search workshop will be based on Jack Bick’s career development guide, The Champion Way: Land in Four Weeks.  Mr. Bick, the former publisher of the Dallas Business Journal and the Collin County Business Press, has served in various leadership positions in the St. Jude Career Alliance Ministry since 2010.

The workshop will have four main sections, called Experiences; two Experiences will be presented in the morning and two Experiences will be presented in the afternoon:

  • Experience #1: Confidence – Honest Self-Audit
  • Experience #2: Control – Targeted Companies/Selling Resume
  • Experience #3: Cultivating Champions – Networking
  • Experience #4: Conversational Interviews

“The Career Alliance workshop is designed to be an effective, comprehensive job search system that enables job seekers to see the entire program at once,” said Greg Mechler, volunteer coordinator. “The Champion Way provides a complete blueprint on what to do, how to do it, when to do it, and why.”

Parties interested in participating in this job search workshop will need to purchase a copy of The Champion Way.  A set fee of $25.00 will cover the cost of the book as well as lunch. Online Registration is required; see link below:
