Equest announces the election of its 2022-2023 board of directors, including six new directors and new board chairman.
Elected board officers include: Chairman – Julie Sherman, assistant general counsel (residential), Lennox International; Vice Chairman – Lisa Loy Laughlin; Secretary – Katherine Wyker; and Treasurer – Greg Endo.
“As Equest celebrates its 41styear, we are pleased to welcome six new directors who bring their expertise, leadership, enthusiasm and passion for our mission,” remarked Lili Kellogg, chief executive officer, Equest. “We are also incredibly grateful to our board officers for their unwavering support of Equest, especially our incoming board chairman Julie Sherman, and look forward to an exciting year ahead.”
Newly elected directors are: Harley Cozewith, museum operations consultant; Marianne Fazen, executive director, DFW Business Group on Health; Prisma Garcia, social impact coordinator, MoneyGram International; Elissa McClure, partner, Holland & Knight LLP; Steve Swenson, retired rancher; and Cori Ulrich, senior vice president and deputy general counsel, RealPage, Inc.
“Equest’s mission had me from the first moment I looked into the eyes of one of their therapy horses,” said board chairman Sherman. “I am excited to steward the growth of this amazing organization along with a fantastic board of directors who are equally passionate about Equest.”
Continuing to serve their unexpired terms are the following directors: Carolyn Anderson; Teresa Fishman; Tim Gavin; Clint Haggerty; Chris Hampton; Lindsay Kirton; Katie Cox; Bobbi Shawand James Thomas.

Founded in 1981, Equest provides equine assisted learning, therapies and counseling to children and adults with physical, cognitive, sensory, coping and learning disabilities, as well as veterans who receive all of Equest’s services at no charge.
