The first Arbor Day was held on April 10, 1872 and an estimated one million trees were planted that day! Continue the tradition in Allen this Saturday, October 27 at Bethany Lakes Park from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Festivities include a live DJ, tree climbing demonstrations, tree planting, educational exhibits, craft tables, face painting and a special appearance from "Oaky the Talking Tree."

The first 700 patrons will receive their own free tree sampling to take home and plant. This event is also free and open to the public!
