Doug Cardozo with sons Cristiano & Niko in their 1970 Porsche 914-6

More than 100 cars have been selected to be displayed and juried in the Collectors Concours at the 3rd annual Park Place Luxury & Supercar Showcase, including two Allen residents: Doug Cardozo’s 1970 Porsche 914-6; and Rudy Santacroce’s 1985 Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole.

“In the 1970's my father had a Porsche 914-6 that he completely totaled,” said Cardozo. “For years he thought of purchasing a 914-6 again. In 2002 he purchased a fixer-upper off Ebay. This car was intended to be restored to look exactly like his Porsche from the 70's, but he died before it could be completed. It took me years after he died to have this 914-6 fully restored, but now this rare (1 of over 3,000) Porsche is in pristine condition.”

The Collectors’ Concours will be displayed on the first Fairway of the TPC Golf Course and will include a 1916 Stutz Bearcat; 1936 Pierce Arrow; 1956 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL; 1965 Corvette Stingray; 1966 Shelby GT350H Hertz Rent-a-Racer; and many other rare vehicles.

“I purchased the Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole from a south Florida collector in 2016 and brought it to Texas,” said Santacroce. “I fell in love with the extrememly rare color combination of Marrone over Pella Crema. This final year Ferrari 308 sat for over eight years in storage before being brought back to mechanical excellence by Norwood Auto Italia. Now I regulary drive it on weekends and it is a favorite at Dallas area car shows!”
