Robin Bullock has been named as the new Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources & Student Services for the Allen Independent School District.

The appointment was approved by the Board of Trustees on March 18 and she will move into her new role on April 15.

Bullock has served as the deputy superintendent for Midlothian ISD since 2008 and also served as the district’s interim superintendent in 2010.  She began teaching 7th grade language arts in Midlothian in 2001. Since then she held positions as assistant middle school principal, elementary school principal, middle school principal and director of personnel for Midlothian ISD.

She began her career in Red Oak ISD and also taught middle school reading and language arts in Eufaula (LA) and Duncanville.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Northwestern State University in Louisiana and advanced degrees at Troy State University in Alabama and the University of Texas at Arlington.

Her primary responsibilities in Allen will include managing the Human Resources Department for Allen’s 2,500+ employees and directing student services such as enrollment and attendance.

Bullock replaces Kent Turner, who retired in December 2012.
