VFW Post 2195, VFW Auxiliary, Allen High School Marine Junior ROTC (MJROTC) and cadet parents came together to support a Thanksgiving food drive for the Allen Community Outreach (ACO) food pantry. The corp of cadets under the leadership of Major Tom Connor and his staff, cadet parents, VFW Auxiliary and Post members were all instrumental in the success of the food drive held at the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market in Allen on Saturday, November 17.

Our objective was to help ensure that as many of our friends and neighbors as possible have an enjoyable Thanksgiving. Thanks to the generosity and support of Wal-Mart customers and the Wal-Mart management and staff the collection efforts resulted in 2.5 tons food and goods valued at o $ 4,291, $203 in gift cards, $594 in cash and a $19.38 credit card donation.
