Understanding the need for an active group of young professionals, the Allen Fairview Chamber of Commerce has made a move to fill a void. In doing so, the Chamber has set their sights on finding the 40 finest young executives in one of the most affluent areas in not only the state of Texas, but the country. With State Farm and Toyota moving to the area and with Collin County being a great place to be a young entrepreneur the Chamber feels that there is no better time to ramp up a networking group of this kind.

Knowing that there has been a certain level of inconsistency with the current young professional group, the Chamber has made significant changes that include providing certain incentive plans to being a member of this group as well as controlling the number of events. Moving forward the 40 Under 40 group will host a networking breakfast once per month and a happy hour mixer once per month and will be actively involved in community support and service.

“I know that we have a fabulous group of young people in this community, we just haven’t found a way to get them involved and keep them involved. Now, I think we have the right plan and the correct implementation process to bring more attention to and keep active numbers involved in this professional network.” said Sharon Mayer, CEO - Allen Fairview Chamber of Commerce.

For those interested in exploring the 40 Under 40 group, they will be hosting a networking Happy Hour and informational meeting Thursday, January 8, 2015 inside the Lofts at Waters Creek with beverages provided by Savor Tasting Lounge in Waters Creek from 5:30 PM - 7 PM.
