The McKinney Christian Academy board of trustees is pleased to announce the addition of Chris Hydock to the MCA staff.  Chris has come on staff at a time of remarkable growth.  Enrollment for the three campuses is at record highs, and Upper School SAT and ACT scores continue to exceed expectations.  Chris is the principal for the Pre-K through 5th grade Lower School.  With over seventeen years of teaching and administrative experience in a Christian education environment, Chris is very capable of taking on the demands required now and as the campus grows.

Chris earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Pensacola Christian College.  He began his career teaching Lower School and Middle School bible history and P.E.  His duties were expanded to include athletic director and then Middle School vice principal.  Chris has also served as Dean of Elementary

Chris served as the Children’s Pastor for over three years at First Baptist Church in Ovilla, Texas.

McKinney Christian Academy is very fortunate to have Chris Hydock join the MCA team.   The MCA 2014-2015 theme of “All In” thoroughly describes Chris and his family.  His three children are attending MCA, and wife Tamara will be serving in a leadership capacity on a large MCA project this year.

Chris commented “Teaching children the value of leading a Christ-centered life is paramount to me, and I know the hard work the MCA staff puts in will make a great difference in the lives of these children, and their community”.
