Your Allen Americans of the ECHL announced today that their preseason game, originally scheduled for Friday, October 17th against the Tulsa Oilers, has been moved to Tuesday, October 14th at 7:05 pm at Allen Event Center.
The ECHL regular season begins on Friday, October 17th, so the game needed to be rescheduled to fall in line with the close of training camps, as well as the finalizing of both teams’ rosters.

All fans that purchased the October 17th preseason game through Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded for their purchase within the next 7-10 business days. Americans Season Ticket Holders that had previously purchased the October 17thpreseason game will be given the option in the very near future to move their funds to one of three additional regular season home games that will be added to the schedule soon. They will also have the option to purchase the other games at their season ticket pricing per game.
The Americans will open their sixth training camp, first as a member of the ECHL, on Saturday, October 11th at Allen Event Center Community Rink. Americans Head Coach, Steve Martinson, will be on the ice for his third camp as bench boss. The complete training camp roster is listed below. The Allen Americans will host a Season Ticket Holder pickup on Saturday, October 18th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Allen Event Center. The team will practice that day from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on the main ice.
The 2014-2015 training camp roster includes some familiar names returning to Allen; Brian McMillin, Jamie Schaafsma, Willie Yanakeff, Garrett Clarke, along with Trevor and Tyler Ludwig. The Americans welcome newcomers Kevin Young, Jeremy Beaudry, Aaron Gens and John Ryder on defense. Up front, forwards Gary Steffes, Geoff Irwin, Chad Costello, Travis Ouellette, Sy Nutkevitch, Andrew Hamburg, Jesse Messier, Brett Lyon and Devin Di-Diomete. The Americans have three goalies on the roster headed into camp, Raphael Girard, Riley Gill, and the aforementioned Willie Yanakeff.
