The Allen Eagle Hoopsters Booster Club lead the way in for the 2013 In-N-Out Burger Allen Holiday Invitational held at Allen High School this past December 26-28.  Twenty-eight teams from North Texas and Southern Oklahoma participated in the tournament.  Based on the feedback from fans, players, coaches, officials, and representatives from the Dallas Morning News covering the event, the inaugural tournament was a huge success.  This was also reflected in the attendance, with over 6,000 people in attendance over the three day event.

Proceeds from the tournament supported the Booster Club, funded the Booster Club’s College Scholarship fund, and were designated to support local charity organizations.  On Tuesday night February 11, prior to the last boys basketball team home game with Plano West, Head Coach Jeff McCullough, co-captains Myron Fisher and Andrew Dawson, and booster club President David Dawson presented two checks totaling $5,500 to fulfill the team's goal of giving back to the community.

In-N-Out Burger, this year’s Tournament Sponsor, helps abused and neglected children in the communities where they live and work through their charitable organization, the In-N-Out Burger Foundation.  The Foundation supports organizations that provide residential treatment, emergency shelter, foster care, and early intervention for children in need.  The Booster Club issued a check of $1,000 to support In-N-Out Burger Foundation’s goal of assisting children who have been victims of child abuse, as well as preventing others from suffering a similar fate.

Allen Community Outreach (ACO) was the primary charity for this year's event.  ACO helps transform lives for families in need within our community by providing essential human and social services such as financial assistance with household bills, groceries from the ACO Food Pantry, clothing and house wares from the ACO Resale Shop, as well as new school supplies for children in need.  The Allen Eagle Hoopsters Booster Club was proud to present a check for $4,500 to Stacy Cooper, ACO Director of Development, to support ACO’s vision of partnering with our community to meet all of its human services needs.

The Allen Eagle Basketball Program is proud to donate to these two worthy charities.  It is through efforts of our sponsors and attendance at the tournament that these donations were made possible!  Plans are underway for the 2014 Tournament, to be held December 29-31, 2014.

The Eagles Boys Basketball team has completed an excellent regular season with a record of 22-7 and will be playing Jesuit High School in the first round of the Texas UIL Basketball Playoffs on Tuesday February 18 at 7:30 PM at Berkner High School in Richardson.  Come out and support the Eagles!
