OrthoTexas, an orthopedic practice that comprises 28 world-class orthopedic physicians and surgeons with a “patient first” approach to care, announced that Dr. Sarang Desai will continue as the Dallas Sidekicks’ team physician and its partnership with the Dallas Sidekicks, a professional indoor soccer team based in Allen, for the second consecutive year.

In this role, Dr. Desai will make the medical decisions involving the 23 players and staff and will conduct any surgeries as needed. Dr. Desai specializes in ankle and foot bone health, which are the areas most affected by soccer injuries.

“I am honored to work with a team that is a part of the Allen culture,” Dr. Desai said. “I work to continuously educate the team and the community on the importance of bone and joint health as well as keeping the team in the best shape possible.” 

OrthoTexas aims to educate people on the importance of bone and joint health. By joining with the Dallas Sidekicks, OrthoTexas hopes to emphasize the importance of properly taking care of sports related injuries, especially by seeing a bone and joint professional.
