Beginning with its Wednesday, June 1 meeting, the St. Jude Career Alliance Ministry in Allen, TX will offer a five-week career strategies workshop titled The Lifelong Employability Experience (LLEE). Designed to help participants develop four critical skills - Confidence, Communications, Control and Consistency - that will enable them to continuously move their careers forward, LLEE is a time tested process that lands people in jobs they want.  It is based on a basic marketing process that focuses on specific solutions each participant can bring to the company of their choice.  LLEE has been created by Jack Bick, a Certified Career Coach practicing in Collin County and former publisher of the Dallas Business Journal and Inside Collin County Business, now the Collin County Business Press

"In the short time I spent with Jack Bick (5 sessions), I developed a healthy self-confidence, resulting in two of the best interviews I have ever had.  When the hiring manager in one of the interviews asked me what I thought about the job, I replied: 'This is the perfect job for me!' I landed the job; it's proving to be both challenging and rewarding.  It was the most prepared and confident I have ever felt in an interview," said Chuck Mancuso, LLEE client.

This career strategies workshop is free of charge and open to all people of any faith, ethnicity, age, etc.  A workbook will be included and for those who complete the five weeks, there will be a 30-minute telephone coaching session free.

"One person was fired from a high profile job because of a personality conflict," said LLEE creator Jack Bick. "He thought his career was over.  Yet, with the skills and strategy of LLEE, he actually landed a promotion with a rival company."

LLEE is applicable for students who want to start their career off right.  It is designed to help enhance a person's career path and get a career back on the path in case of unemployment.  When used correctly and continuously, LLEE can help a person build a great career with few and short career gaps.

"The 'Experience' builds long lasting abilities in Confidence, Communications, Control and Consistency with a foundation of Christ's involvement in our daily lives including our employment," continued Bick.  "After all, God created needs and that lead to the creation of jobs to fill needs.  God knows where our next job will be so we need to put our creator consciously in our search.  Our work life should be an exercise of our Christianity and reflect our values."

The Lifelong Employability Experience workshop will be presented by Jack Bick at 9-11 AM each Wednesday in June (1, 8, 15, 22 and 29) in the Lecture Hall at St. Jude Parish in Allen, TX.  The specific topics to be addressed each week are:

June 1------First Experience:  Know the Product

June 8------Second Experience: Develop the Marketing/Selling Materials

June 15-----Third Experience:  Marketing Strategy & Tactics

June 22-----Fourth Experience: Selling to the Market Place

June 29-----Review: How It All Works Together

"In my experience with career coaching and the job search process, it seems that everyone has an opinion about resumes, the actual job  search and interviewing," concluded Mr. Mancuso.  "Jack Bick offers a marketing plan that, combined with his real-world experience and great personality, zeroes in on the specific steps needed to help clients find not just any job, but a job they really want."

The St. Jude Career Alliance is a ministry helping college students, career builders and those who are unemployed/underemployed to develop individual career strategies that meets at 9:00 AM every Wednesday at St. Jude Parish in Allen, TX.

St. Jude Catholic Church is located at 1515 North Greenville Avenue, between Exchange Parkway and Stacy Road.  Attendees should park in the northeast lot and use the entrance between the church and the parish offices.

In addition to the LLEE workshops, the ministry offers other career-oriented speakers and presentations at weekly Wednesday morning meetings as well as training in job search skills, support groups and job hunting resources.
