The St. Jude Career Alliance Ministry in Allen, TX will offer a three-part series on Leadership that will begin on Thursday evening, February 19, and will continue on the two following Thursday evenings, February 26 and March 5.  Elizabeth Lions, Dallas-based executive, author, speaker and career coach, will conduct this three-part series which she has designed to facilitate the transition from individual contributor to leader.

"The transition from individual contributor to leader can be the most challenging and rewarding of an employee's career," said Ms. Lions.  "However, there are some steps to taker in order to ensure success as individuals grow into their leadership positions.  There is a vast difference between leading and managing people.  Managers are task focused while leaders determine the vision, goals and objectives needed while creating an environment which enables the team to grow and thrive."

Ms. Lions' three-part Leadership[ Series will cover the following topics:

Thursday, February 19-----Moving from Individual Contributor to Leader

Thursday, February 26-----Leadership Foundations

Thursday, March 5----------Leadership Visionary Process

Ms. Lions is president of Elizabeth Lions Consulting, LLC.  Her client list includes leaders of AT&T, Intel, eBay, Microsoft, Wells Fargo and Fiserv.  Ms. Lions also has her own radio show titled "Leadership Lessons from the Lioness" on Plaid for Women.  She is the author of two books: (1) Recession-Proof Yourself (2009) and (2) I Quit, Why Working for You Isn't Working for Me (2012). 

The three-part Leadership Series will be held in the lecture hall at St. Jude Parish in Allen, TX.  Each session will begin at 6 PM; presentations will take 45 minutes and 15 minutes will be allotted for questions and answers.  Interested parties are encouraged to attend all three sessions.  This three-part Leadership Series is open to everyone and there is no charge.

St. Jude Catholic Church is located at 1515 North Greenville Avenue, between Exchange Parkway and Stacy Road. Attendees should park in the northeast lot and use the entrance closest to the three flag poles.

In addition to speakers and presentations at weekly Wednesday morning meetings and Saturday morning seminars, the St. Jude Career Alliance Ministry offers training in job search skills, support groups and job hunting resources.
