The St. Jude Career Alliance Ministry in Allen, TX will offer an intermediate Excel training class on Saturday morning, February 7. Individuals interested in attending this class, which is free, should have some basic knowledge of Excel. Participants who have laptops are encouraged to bring them, but it is not required. Brian Clark, Planning Manager for Plano-based J. C. Penney, will conduct this intermediate Excel training class.
The February 7 intermediate training class will begin by focusing on Excel efficiencies such as keyboard shortcuts and will review the most commonly used Excel functions. Some of the functions to be covered include VLOOKUP, IF, SUMIF and COUNT. The wrap-up will focus on a review of Excel features such as Pivot, Tables, Filters and Conditional Formatting. The overall training will also include tips and examples for realizing maximum benefits through the use of Excel.
The February 7 intermediate Excel training class will begin at 9:00 AM and wrap-up at noon. St. Jude Catholic Church is located at 1515 North Greenville Avenue, between Exchange Parkway and Stacy Road. Attendees should park in the northeast lot and use the entrance closest to the three flag poles.
Brian Clark has more than 25 years of Project Management and Business Analysis experience which he utilizes to create financial planning and forecasting tools and systems that improve efficiency of business planning processes. As part of his current Planning Manager position, Mr. Clark conducts Excel training classes at J. C. Penney.
The St. Jude Career Alliance is a ministry helping job seekers that provides speakers and presentations at weekly Wednesday morning meetings and Saturday morning seminars. The ministry also offers training in job search skills, support groups and job hunting resources.
