Starting in the 17th Century a series of wars were fought throughout Europe known as the "Continental Wars." There were global elites, even then, who sought control and dominion over other nations (including colonies like those found in the United States), and terms like "New World Order" had the same meaning then as it does now. The most famous of these wars were the "Napoleonic Wars" campaigned by Napoleon Bonaparte. These continental wars continued even into the 20th Century with World War I and II. Many lives were lost, and this song depicts one Scots woman's lament over the loss of her Bonny Light Horseman, and she blamed Napoleon Bonaparte. Our KelticDead Music Group (Earnie Taft, Linda King, and Shaun Young) sang and played the song using live instruments typically used by Celtic music groups.

The KelticDead Music Initiative is a FREE on-line, web-based music-education resource about Celtic, Folk, Old Time, and Sea Faring tunes, songs and stories that are now found throughout the world and in every culture. For more information about this initiative, visit www.KelticDead.com .
