Instead of sleeping in this weekend, get up and get moving early at the 2nd Annual Get Healthy Texas 5K, happening on Saturday, Jan. 21 in Frisco.

Residents throughout North Texas are invited to run, jog or walk in the event promoting healthy lifestyles for Texans.  Presented by CBS 11, TXA 21, the City of Frisco and Dallas Athletes Racing, the Get Healthy Texas race will feature a 5K and a One-Mile Fun Run.  Races will begin and end at Fieldhouse USA.

Events are scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. on Race Day.  The One-Mile Fun Run will begin at 8 a.m. and the 5K will begin at 8:15 a.m.  

For those who haven't registered, sign-ups are welcome on race day.  The 5K is $20 and the One-Mile Fun Run is $10.  Registration is cash only.
