The newest edition of the Grand Theft Auto series is slated for a midnight release on September 17. As with other popular games, that means that GameStop will be open to start handing out copies at 12 a.m.

The GameStop on Stacy Road in Allen is one of the company stores that will be hosting a Midnight Release. To help with the promotion and to give the die hard fans something to do while waiting for 12 a.m., North Texas Xtreme Gaming will have their video game truck at the location for gamers to enjoy from 9:30 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. Then it will be time to form a line and get your game.

The midnight release of games has become popular over the last few years like the midnight release of movies. GameStop and Best Buy stores will be having several over the next few months in addition to midnight releases of the new gaming consoles, Xbox One and PS4.

It will be the first time North Texas Xtreme Gaming has participated in one of these events, so come out and join them for their premiere Midnight Release at the GameStop at the Villages of Allen. The truck will be open for free play from 9:30 p.m. until 11:45 p.m.
