Be Holiday Smart will be held Thursday, November 14, at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center, 17360 Coit Road, Dallas. This facility is located between the Bush Turnpike and Campbell Road at the intersection of Coit and McCallum Blvd.

Registration, silent auction, refreshments, and raffle for handmade quilted table runner will begin at 9:15 a.m. with speakers beginning at 10 a.m. One pound bags of pecans (halves or pieces) will also be for sale. The event concludes at 11:45 a.m. 

Speakers will demonstrate gifts from the kitchen with unique packaging ideas, handmade holiday cards and easy holiday decorating for your home. Door tickets are $5 and raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5.  Proceeds provide youth and adult educational scholarships and supplies to make comfort pillows for cancer patients and lap robes for seniors.
