The Allen Old Timer’s Reunion is planned for Sunday, February 24 at 12:30 p.m. at Allen High School. The reunion, which is sponsored by Allen High School Alumni Services and the Foundation for Allen Schools, is an opportunity for family members and friends from “old Allen” to come together.

The reunion, which is free, will be held in the commons area of the Allen ISD Performing Arts Center at the east end of Allen High School.

“This will be the fourth Old Timer’s Reunion we’ve sponsored,” according to Tim Carroll, Allen ISD director of community services. “While a class reunion brings people together who attended Allen schools, this event includes the parents and siblings that they grew up with. It’s more of a family reunion for the City of Allen.”

There are no restrictions on who can attend, Carroll added. “It’s just a casual opportunity to meet old friends.”

This year’s reunion is paired with a special concert by the Allen Philharmonic Orchestra in the Allen ISD Performing Arts Center called “Look To The Stars.” The concert will include the fanfare from Strauss’ Also Sprach Zarathustra, Op. 30 and Holst’s “The Planets.”  Those attending the Old Timer’s Reunion will receive free tickets to the afternoon’s Allen Philharmonic Orchestra performance at 2 p.m.
