Ride into romance with your loved one this Valentine's Day with a carriage ride

Imagine a romantic ride through one of Collin County's most picturesque settings, Watters Creek, as you snuggle with your sweetie and admire the beautiful landscape from a horse-drawn carriage. This Valentine's Day, Watters Creek is offering guests the opportunity to not only impress their valentine with a beautiful gesture found only at Watters Creek, but also to love their loved one's heart, as the proceeds from the carriage rides benefit the American Heart Association, an organization devoted to fighting cardiovascular disease and stroke.

"We 'heart' our guests for the way they love shopping at Watters Creek, and now we're excited to show the love back to them with an unparalleled experience that also raises money to help fight heart disease," said Glenda Garcia, marketing director, Watters Creek at Montgomery Farm. "We are 'going red' in February!"

This Feb. 14, Valentine's Day, carriage rides will be offered to guests of Watters Creek for $10 a couple.  The proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association in its efforts to fight cardiovascular disease, the number-one killer of women and men in the U.S., which claims more lives than all forms of cancer combined. Carriage rides are on a first-come, first-served basis, and depart from DSW, located on Market Street Rd.

“'Go Red' means an individual is making a commitment to improve their cardiovascular health, through diet, exercise, awareness and even talking with their doctor,” said Scott Farace, deputy executive director at the Dallas Division of the American Heart Association.  “Our hope is that everyone will Go Red by wearing red during the month of February so that awareness of our nation’s number-one killer will continue to spread. We’re thrilled that Watters Creek is joining us in the fight against heart disease. We, as a community, must be vocal about this silent killer.”

With its wide array of shops, restaurants, and exquisite places to live and work, Watters Creek at Montgomery Farm has something for everyone. This Valentine's Day, consider a box of handmade chocolates from Allen's own Sublime Chocolates, an unexpected gift from Anthropologie or Z Gallerie, a gift of pampering from Envy Nail Spa or The Boardroom Salon for Men, or perhaps a night out in one of the many restaurants at Watters Creek, such as Savour Tasting Room, the Cheesecake Factory or Cru - Food & Wine Bar-- in addition to the romantic carriage ride.

"If you're shopping for the perfect valentine for your loved one, Watters Creek is the perfect place to find that unexpected gift," said Garcia, "and if you're shopping with your loved one, even better.  Here, it's about the experience."
