Allen, TX – 06/05/2024 – The Allen Public Library is excited to announce a major expansion and renovation project that will provide more space for books, programs, and community events. Construction is expected to begin this summer with an anticipated completion date of summer 2025.

“The Allen Public Library has seen tremendous growth in recent years,” said [Library Director Name], Director of the Allen Public Library. “This expansion will allow us to better serve our community by offering a wider variety of resources and programs, as well as much-needed additional space.”

Temporary Location During Construction

  • No materials will be accepted during the closure period (from August 1st).
  • Existing loans will be automatically extended, and no overdue fines will be incurred during this time.
  • Book returns will be unavailable. Please hold onto all library materials until the temporary location opens.

The Allen Public Library looks forward to welcoming the community back to a bigger and better library space in summer 2025.
