Want to know why the craft of making "Celtic Whistles" almost died out in 1953, and how the Devil got into Rock 'n' Roll music?
Patrick O'Shaughnessey Young will guide the audience through a special KelticDead Music "Broadside" presentation 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7th, at the Allen Public Library as a lecture-type, "Bardic" storytelling event. In his "movie-like" presentation Shaun will use selections from his on-line, KelticDead "Broadside" stories and folk tunes, to provide a better understanding about who the Celts are, and how Celtic folk-music resonates in our current American experience. I want to thank the Allen Public Library and Civic Auditorium in my home town of Allen, Texas for letting me present my "hobby" project. Hope to see you there, and if you can't make it out, you can see it from home from the links provided below.
Patrick O-Shaun Young is a video-based storyteller, author, songwriter, and the creator of the web-based, audio-visual
KelticDead Music Video Broadsides. Here, stories are found within the music of Celtic, folk, old timey, and seafaring tunes that continue to impact the modern world. Mr. Young is a retired audio-visual systems engineer who uses his studio skills to create music-story presentations in the tradition of the 16th Century Broadside formats. These are
freely accessible from his KelticDead Music website. Mr. Young is recognized within the
2023-2024 Marquis Who’s Who Publications Board for his work with the
KelticDead Music initiative.
