The Allen Community Jazz Band will present a spring concert at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 21, at the Allen Public Library. Free and open to the public, the doors to the performance will open at 2:30 p.m.
Under the direction of Craig Logan and associate director Ray Akin, the audience can savor selections made famous by contemporary artists such as Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder, as well as groups like Chicago and Blood, Sweat & Tears. In addition, the audience will be treated to classics by Tony Bennett, Duke Ellington, and Count Basie as well as a little rock ‘n roll.
Members of the Jazz Band are also in the Allen Community Concert Band.
