If you’re looking for an unforgettable knee-slapping bluegrass experience, come to the Allen Public Library’s annual Bluegrass concert. This special evening will feature downhome entertainment with the award-winning Riley Gilbreath Band. 

This event is hosted at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, January 31, at the Allen Christian Church in Allen Heritage Village, 400 E. St Mary Drive.

Bluegrass bands are passionate about their music and Riley Gilbreath is no exception.  Playing on Texas Red Hot Radio, Riley performed at the Bloomin’ Bluegrass Festival and won the Texas State Banjo championship.  He also garnered a championship at the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America International Band in Nashville, Tennessee. 

In addition to Gilbreath, the band comprises David Sawyer on bass, Bryan Hollifield on banjo, and Sam Smith on mandolin.
