Dallas Morning News Photographer David Woo Cameras capture images, but photographers offer insightful connections to the subject matter. Former Dallas Morning News photographer David Woo will discuss his third book WOO! The Decisive Moment at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 6, at the Allen Public Library.
During this evening, the audience will savor dozens of stunning photographs captured by the Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist who spent 42 years at The Dallas Morning News.
Photos from his book cover travels to four continents, multiple Super Bowls, Pope John Paul II’s celebrated visit to Mexico in 1979, and the tragic 1993 Branch Davidian siege near Waco. His portraits include Nolan Ryan--whose 5,000th strikeout pitch became legendary by Woo’s camera, Mark Cuban, Clint Murchison, Shannon Wynne, Rosalyn Carter, Betty Ford, Lady Bird Johnson and Troy Aikman.
